POINSETTIAS As we prepare for this Christmas season, we need your assistance to decorate our church. Your sponsorship last year was overwhelming. By sponsoring the purchase of a poinsettia plant, a card dedicated in memory of a deceased loved-one or for any special family intention will accompany the plant. Each plant costs $30 (large) and $12 (small). Please call the office (744-5391) if you wish to participate in this program or if you wish more information.

POINSETTIAS As we prepare for this Christmas season, we are once more seeking your assistance to decorate our church. Your response to our request last year was overwhelming. By sponsoring the purchase of a poinsettia plant, a card dedicated in memory of a deceased loved-one or for any special family intention will accompany the plant. Each plant costs $30 (large) and $12 (small). Please call the office at 744-5391 if you wish to participate in this program or if you wish more information

L’année dernière la réponse à notre appel était accablante. La plante que vous patronner peut être consacrée à la mémoire d’une personne bien-aimée décédée ou à une intention de votre choix. ST. ANNE’S CEMETERY The cemetery will be CLOSED for the winter starting November 30th. There will be no cemetery burials until May 1, 2010. If you require further information, please feel free to call Roly Ribout at 744-2947. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

1. ANNUAL COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS DINNER St. Andrew’s in the Pines, Saturday, November 28th. Come join us for a free home-cooked meal; ham, mashed potatoes, vegetables and dessert. If you are experiencing the pain of our economic times, or just need a night out, then come and join us for fellowship and good food. RESERVED SITTINGS are at 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Reserve early by calling Helen Resmer 744-6386 or Sister Carmelle 744-6706.
As part of our contribution to the dinner, Ste-Anne’s parish is to donate six (6) home made pies and a Caesar salad. Call Marion at the office 744-5391 if you able to donate a pie(s).

3. ST. ANDREW’S UNITED CHURCH TEA, BAKE SALE & BAZAAR
Saturday, November 14th, starts !2:00 p.m. - $4.00/person
Come and join your friends and family for some sweet desserts and beverage.
4. MATTAWA & AREA FOOD BANK & MATTAWA LIONS CLUB are now accepting applications for Christmas Baskets. Deadline for applications is Nov. 26th. To apply you must attend the food bank, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. during the month of November. For further details check with the staff at the Food Bank.
